Karlsruhe – Analytica GmbH presents the AnaGate CAN Development system, an updated development environment for the AnaGate CAN series. As an embedded PC with a Linux platform, the F2, F4, F8, FX2, FX4, FX8, FZ8 and FZ16 models allow the device to be flexibly extended with your own custom programs – the new Development system reduces the effort needed to set up the required cross-compile environment to a minimum.
A ready-to-use cross-compile environment
The Development system is provided as a ready-to-use VirtualBox image that can be imported directly into VirtualBox. The guest system is a Linux Mate Xfce 22.3 with a GCC cross-compiler and all the system libraries needed for the ARM platform used on the devices already pre-installed. This removes the need to manually set up a cross-compile toolchain – your own programs can be created, compiled and transferred to the AnaGate device right away.
Coming soon: programming directly via the API under Linux
The Development system will shortly also offer the possibility to create programs directly via the AnaGate API under Linux – in addition to the existing cross-compile environment for applications that run independently on the device.
Availability
The AnaGate CAN Development system is available as a free download for the F2, F4, F8, FX2, FX4, FX8, FZ8 and FZ16 models, along with the corresponding user manual. Both are available on the support pages under software downloads.
