AnaGate I2C - I2C-TCP/IP Gateway
The AnaGate I2C gateway connects a PC or other general device to a I2C bus via the TCP/IP network protocol.
The AnaGate I2C basically works as a I2C Master on the bus, whereby it can be run in either single-master or multi-master mode. If another master is to be run on the same I2C bus, this must also feature multi-master mode support.
The I2C telegrams are transparently embedded in TCP/IP telegrams to enable communication with any I2C device. This means that I2C devices can be addressed over the Internet or from multiple different PCs over a network.
The AnaGate I2C is exceptionally suitable for programming serial EEPROMs via the I2C bus as the EEPROMs can not only be addressed from the finished application board, but also as an independent device.
